SMYM
The KCYM was an organisation started by the pala diocese on 1978 for the empowerment of youth in the society. After this establishment every parish had started the KCYM unit. It was a successfull organisation. It created a group of youth together and they put on many activities in the parish.
On 2018 KCYM has been renamed as SMYM(Syro Malabar Youth Movement). On 2018 Kurichithanam SMYM unit has started. Its dream journey by performing many activities on the parish like never before.

On starting the journey of SMYM kurichithanam had a membership of 48 people. SMYM Kurichithanam has mainly two, A and B units. These two units were lead by an executive members consisting of 7 people each.

Snehasparsam OUR DREAM PROJECT
The biggest initiative of SMYM Kurichithanam to be a helping hand to orphans and needy people . SNEHASPARSHAM programme intends to spend 20% of the funds of unit and charity by providing money and food materials to care homes and also spend some time with the inmates thereby giving them a touch of love and care . The programme was inagurated by Santhosh Mariya Sadhanam . The SNEHASPARSHAM logo designed by our own members Samson and Jonath was also launched the same day . The initiative is highly supported by the parish community which motivates the unit to take the movement forward holding our moto "A LITTLE MILLION THINGS CAN CHANGE THE WORLD"
